  • BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

    Dr. Amy Gibbs has a special interest and a Master's in applied ethology. A consultation with Dr. Gibbs can help determine the cause of disorders, such as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and develop a treatment regimen for your pet.

  • BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

    Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as their popularity increases. With better public education in health and nutritional / environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics.

  • BLOOD TRANSFUSION

    We do have donor pets available for blood transfusion. We maintain a list of veterinary staff members who will allow their pets to donate blood for other pets as needs arise.

  • BRONCHOSCOPY

    High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of your pet’s respiratory system. This technology allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the nasal cavity, trachea and lungs.

  • DENTAL CARE

    Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available, including root canals, crowns, orthodontic treatments. Dr. Larry Baker is one of about 100 board-certified dental specialists in the world.

  • EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

    In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is trained in resuscitation  and our clinic stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours, and one of our staff veterinarians is "on call" for any emergency care.

  • ENDOSCOPY

    High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system without the need for surgery. This technology (1) allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease and (2) it aids in the removal of foreign objects.

  • FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

    Because human and animal drugs are not always the same, we stock a wide range of the best pharmaceuticals in the animal healthcare field. In addition, we also carry a wide variety of medicated shampoos, vitamins, heartworm prevention, flea prevention and over-the-counter medications for your pet.

  • HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

    Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with our clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains (burial or cremation) as directed by the client.  Ashes may be returned or not, per client request.

  • IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

    We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include a comprehensive physical exam, internal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, a vaccination program, spay or neuter package, and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

  • INTERNAL MEDICINE

    We cover all areas of internal medicine including cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, oncology, endocrinology, reproduction, among others.

  • MICROCHIPPING

    Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

    Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. We also carry prescription diets for overweight, senior, or ill pets.

  • PAIN MANAGEMENT

    Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

  • RADIOLOGY

    Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems.  NPC employs the very latest computer technology in producing digital, high quality diagnostic images.  An image is produced within six seconds following exposure.

  • SURGERY

    We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. The health of all patients is carefully screened to help ensure safe anesthesia, and the anesthetic protocol is specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include  fully trained veterinary and technical staff, heated surgery tables to maintain the body temperaure, advanced sterilization techniques, and oxygen saturation monitors, and intensive care after surgery. In addition we utilize the laboratory of St. Mary's Hospital for many blood testing services.

  • ULTRASOUND

    This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.

  • VETERINARY INFORMATION NETWORK

    We subscribe to the online Veterinary Information Network which allows us access to the expertise of 135 board certified veterinary specialists.  This state-of-the-art service allows us to send diagnostic x-ray images, questions, laboratory results, and other information to specialists for their opinions with difficult cases.  We can expect a turn-around time of 24 hours or less.  This is an excellent method of obtaining a specialist's opinion without having to travel or pay a specialist's fees.
